Description
Clairemont Skatepark is a huge park, which has it all and we don’t even know where to start. Let’s start by saying it has both vert and street. A ton of vert ramps, which leads to the typical masonite street course, so whether you are a street or vert skater, this skatepark is for you. The concrete bowl is amazing, give it a spin. It invites and guides you with it’s lines, and your flow will never stop. The bowl has a 10 feet deep end, tiles, pool copings and different heights. Even the pros have been there, so it goes without saying, this skatepark is legendary and you are gonna step up your game, no matter which skills you have, or if you are a beginner. It’s $10 for a 3-hour session which goes from 2-5 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. on weekdays and no membership is required. The street course has it all, ledges, rails and different sizes of funbox- and grindboxes. All the banks and hips you could desire. It just seems like it’s going on forever.
The rest of the wooden ramp section features unique signature obstacles with varying tranny heights and street elements. It’s almost made as a pro training facility, so spectators sessions and the very cool local vibe makes this place epic, but beware that no bikes are allowed in the bowl. The facility has toilets with water, but in the winter the condition of the park is less nice. Pads & Helmets are required.
Overall this is a highly regarded skatepark for all levels, ages and whether you are a beginner or a more advanced rider. Make sure to check their website and facebook page before going, to ensure your visit and verify opening hours.
The bowl is designed by Wally Hollyday and built by California Skateparks
