Description
Monster Skatepark is divided into 2 sections. A 1000 m2 indoor street course and the outside vert ramps. Designed for everyone, from beginners to the more advanced skaters and riders, you will get a tour around from the gentle 3ft flat banks to the 11ft vert ramp, this skatepark is for your imagination to go wild. It’s rarely seen, so we have to mention, that there’s a huge Foam Pit to practice your jump, spin and airs with the safety of the foam.
The vert ramp is a massive 14 1/2ft high, 68ft wide with extension on one side and two insanely big roll-ins on the other, one 18 1/2 ft and the other 21 1/2ft. This brings it into the books of the top international competition-sized vert ramps. The vert ramp is the signature obstacle of Monster Skatepark, built to sustain, support and encourage the vert ramp scene and riding. All the ramps are covered in hARD, which gives it a fast and smoother surface that dries quickly when wet. The steel structures and construction method makes the ramps portable and they can be placed anywhere. The flat bottom of the ramp is also used to teach kids to ‘pump’ across the smooth wide surface in Ride with a Pro clinics. Monster Skatepark offers Skateschools and if you want to get going, just visit their website!
Two six foot mini ramps connected by a spine, a street spine and a roll through. This mini ramp is a playground for all riders and features a 8 ft extension, 10 ft over-vert and a bank section with rails on the wide platform.
The days are thematised, last time we checked (13. feb 2017) it looked like this:
Mon; ‘Girls free skate’
Tues; ‘Project Freeride’
Wed; ‘Kick’
Thu; ‘Iskate’
Fri; ‘Free For all’
Sat; ‘Saturday Night Live’
Sun; ‘Sunday Sessions’
This skatepark makes you step up your game instantly and you get challenges in creativity and pushed to your limits. This skatepark is awesome and you should give it a visit if you’re in for a skatetrip or nearby
Skate- and scooter- shop on site.
Sessions are kept separated, so make sure to check out their timetables. For the Foam Pit & Resi Ramps pegs are not allowed on BMX or Scooters when using for your own safety.
You have to sign a waiver, whether you are a spectator or user. This can be done online here: waiver form
The skatepark has been designed and built by Australian Ramp Design. Other skateparks in the area includes Fernside Skatepark
