Description
Rulleparken consists of a BMX rink and a vert. The park is a good choice if you like outdoor activities. If your family is in the neighbourhood, it is a good opportunity for at session on the vert or the BMX rink.
The town, Kirke Sonnerup, which is located in the centre of Zealand won ‘Byg Amok’ (build like crazy). ‘Byg Amok’ is a miniature version of the large ‘Byg det op’ (build it up) competition. The park is a place where the people of Kirke Sonnerup can meet up, and the place was expanded with a BMX rink, a trail rink, a volleyball field, a flower grove, a terrasse with a barbecue, a shelter, a nature playground and an outdoor stage. The architects from OAN (Open Air Neighborhood) were in charge of the project. Many local people volunteered to help with the construction and therefore, it was a collaboration between the town and P3, DAC (Danish Architecture Centre) who realised the project led by OAN. ‘Byg Amok’ was the forerunner of the programme ‘Byg det op’ that was shown on DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) in November of 2013.
