About Kona Skatepark

Kona Skatepark is the oldest privately owned, outdoor skatepark and also listed in the Guiness World Book of Records as the oldest skatepark in the world. It is located outside of the Jacksonville’s downtown in the district called Woodland Acres. The skatepark was built in 1977 and keep operating since then. Even though skatepark’s construction is older there is something for every level of skaters. If you want to skate on a wonderful wooden half pipe or just smaller concrete quarter pipes this skatepark is a good choice for you, either you are a beginner or a pro. Skatepark offers its visitor an equipment loan for a small fee, so feel free to take your friend who does not have a skateboard or helmet that is required for every visitor of the skatepark. The entrance fee is set on $10 per day, however, if you are a parent accompanying your child you skate for free! The skatepark offers also membership programme with some discounts as well as private lessons and many cool events.
