Description
Street Mekka in Esbjerg is a dream park for any skater.
The skatepark is divided into three courses and has three further areas for other types of sports. The skatepark is made of concrete. Two of the courses are indoor courses and one is an outdoor course.
The bowl park and the street park are indoor parks and have fixed opening hours. The outdoor course can be used at all times of the day and night.
The bowl is divided into three further courses: A large bowl, a snake run which can also be used as a mini vert and finally a small bowl.
All three courses are made professionally and offer different levels of heights for both beginners and more experienced skaters. There is everything from hips, corners and transfers combined with a thought through flow that makes sure that the skaters don’t lose speed.
The bowl is a great place to skate and challenges all skaters who are interested.
The indoor street park is built on a bank principle. The backend of the park consists of banks and pyramids which provide the skaters with great possibilities to gain speed and momentum.
There are also grind boxes, manual pads and rails. If we should compare it to another park, it would be the street course at Fælledparken which comes close in terms of structure, flow and obstacles.
The street park is any skater’s dream.
Strictly speaking, this course has not been designed as a park, but was designed with skating in mind. It has everything from grind boxes, hips and staircases.
With a little imagination, the outdoor park would be worth a visit even if the rest of the part was not there. This means that the rest of the park can be seen as a giant bonus, especially because of its great quality.
At the moment, BMXers are not allowed at the park – neither inside nor outside.
The outdoor skate course is open 24/7
