Description
Nørrebro Skatepark is one of the most popular street parks in Copenhagen and offers a lot of challenges for the street oriented skater. The park is rectangular and provides a natural flow throughout the park with several obstacles along the way, including ledges, banks, rails and stairs.
Nørrebro Skatepark is an exciting street park for skaters of all levels of experience. There are low ledges and fun banks for the beginners, however more experienced skaters can really take advantage of the park’s full potential. The asphalt foundation can seem hard for some skaters, however it can be used by skaters at all levels. The park has a well-developed course with things that you don’t see at many other parks. In addition, in 2013, the municipality of Copenhagen added a mini ramp which can both be used by beginners as well as experienced skaters who can use it to perfect their tricks.
Every year, Nørrebro skatepark houses several competitions, for example Nørrebro Meltdown.
Nørrebro Skatepark opened in 2007, and has been designed by Teit Andersen who is also the designer of Gentofte Skatepark. There has been made a few small changes to the park since then: A concrete bank at the corner of the park and a mini ramp.

A lot of Street! Cool if you’re up for that, but it takes a lot of imagination/creativity to come up with new lines, if you skate there too much.
NBP is the world’s best skatepark. It’s like a living room in the summer. It’s oozing of raw street. There is no bullshit. If you fall, you will take a hit. There is no smooth wood or concrete surface. It’s asphalt like the rest of the world. And friends asks if your O.K. There are drunks and Khat-Chewing Somalis right around the corner. There are thousands of bikes with drives by. There are photographers that practices and asks if they can take a shot. There is ‘Jonas’ just around the corner. He sells cheap beer and you can get credit if you run out this day of the week. Right beside Jonas Pizzaria where you can get a decent Greek Beef Pita. There is Nørrebro Park, where you can lay and chill in the sun, talk and laugh. Around winter the park gets cold. But it gets warm by all the people who still comes for a session. They just need a grind. Or sits and do something because they want to escape for a minute. So you can grind under the half-covered roof or just talk. When you go past Nørrebroparken there is always someone to say hi to. The few times there aren’t, it’s almost like getting a heart attack. You have the feeling that something is always happening down there. That someone is hurting or is putting their arm up for a trick – which has been in the making for many years. People which don’t know Nørrebroparken says it looks dirty. But, it’s our dirt. It’s our mess. We made it ourselves. And we are proud of it.
