Update: The ramp has been removed and is no longer available to skate.
Lyngby Skatepark is made by Lyngby-Taarbæk’s after school classes who have recently installed various obstacles, together with the guy that built the newly renovated Helligdommen; Teit Andersen. The obstacles are a mini ramp, 2 ledges, a china bank and a long manny pad. The mini ramp is of a great quality with a perfect transition, coping and different levels. Furthermore, it has integrated both a bench and a climbing wall on the backside. The street course is spacious and has straight “lines”. In one end of the course is a china bank made of wood with a metal list on the top. In the other end is the long manny pad, which is made of wood and has a metal ledge on the side. Parallel to the manny pad, there are two ledges. They are made of granite, but unfortunately, they have large curvatures that make it difficult to lock one’s grinds/slides. The foundation is made of concrete, which is fine. The location is a bit remote, however, it is possible to get there by means of public transportation. All things considered, the park is suitable for all levels, but it only offers limited opportunities, which demands your creativity.
